Pedigree

Payton was our first German Shorthaired Pointer, we feel very lucky to have such a great young dog.   He is 25.5 inches tall, and weighs about 65 lbs.  The son of Int / Am Ch River Valley’s Rex Bruggenwirth NA III / UT II x Bridgette vom Jager-Haus NA I, he has great endurance, trainability, very biddable, and learns very quickly.  Probably his best asset is his ability to overcome a novice trainer, and those novice mistakes we all make. More than once he has made me look good, all on his own.  Well this is his best asset besides having such a great temperament, and being my buddy.  He seems to have inherited the best there is from both of his parents.

Critique from one of the international shows

In the short time we have had Payton, he has really showed us what the breed is all about.  Competing in his first International show, going Best of Breed in the Youth Class, receiving SG-1 (the highest rating for the youth class), attaining his National, and International Championships.  Recently Payton went to another International show, this time competing in the adult class.  He received V1 ratings this time (the highest rating possible), and attained the title of International Champion, going Best of Breed at one of the shows.  He has his NAVHDA NA test score, receiving a 101 prize II; he completed his AKC Junior hunter title in the minimum required 4 tests, averaging 8.5 out of 10 on his 4 tests.  His father Int / Am Ch River Valley’s Rex Bruggenwirth UT II, shows us what to expect a great dog to be like.  It looks like Payton is following in his very large footsteps. 

This is only the beginning for Payton, we plan to have him NAVHDA Utility tested,  and qualified for the 2002 NAVHDA Invitational.  AKC Master Hunter, as well as his American show championship.  Some might think it’s a lot of work to look forward to, but we think it’s a lot of fun to look forward to.

We are out to EARN a good reputation
